Every Kobayashi Foods factory is fully-equipped with large-scale refrigerators.
In terms of refrigerator capacity for raw material, the Tajima factory can store 160 pallets, the Ojima factory 250 pallets, and the Sangamyo factory 150 pallets. This allows us to store a maximum of 300+ tonnes of material.

We also have product ingredients that can only be obtained in just the one period every year. For these kinds of seafood materials, we rely on specialist purchasers and manufacturers for our material storage.

Because we have facilities for optimal-temperature storage of large volumes of product material brought in from all across Japan, we’re able to respond to large rush orders as well, meaning you can place your order with confidence.

Equipped with facilities for storing manufactured goods, we carry out full-fledged inventory management that lets us ship out fast.
Since we’re also able to accommodate for planned production, we can store regular products, allowing you to order what you need, when you need it.

\Promise1/Capacities for sudden large-volume production

Our 2015 production schedule at the Tajima factory included approximately 600 tonnes of thin-shaved katsuobushi, 180 tonnes of liquid dashi, and 200 tonnes of extraction-use dashi powders. The schedule at our Ojima factory in the same year was 300 tonnes of dried ingredients (furikake, etc.) and at the Sangamyo factory was 450 tonnes of shavings, primarily thick shavings. As we have the capacities that sudden large-volume production demands, you can incorporate our products into your production schedule worry-free.

Using the 27 m-long large-scale hot-air dryer at the Ojima factory, we can produce about 1.5 tonnes of furikake in one day.
For seasoning dehydration of extraction-use dashi powder, we have the capacity to produce more than 2 tonnes of manufactured goods.

Our thin-shaving and medium-thickness shaving departments have four lines with 34 shaving machines, allowing us to shave upwards of 5 tonnes of product a day. We’re equipped to produce not only katsuobushi shavings but crushed katsuo and powdered katsuo, too.

We’re able to produce up to 1.2 tonnes of liquid broth a day.
For manufactured goods packaging, you’re welcome to choose from three options: crimped-lid can, cubitainer, or aseptically-filled aluminum pack.
