Fine bonito flake varieties

  • Hana Saihen

Flavorful fine bonito flakes in a form that is easier to use.

We took selected domestic fine bonito flakes and chopped them into finer pieces, so that you can eat them more easily. The rich flavor of katsuobushi remains. Because it is packaged with nitrogen gas, the great aroma of katsuobushi spreads as soon as you open the seal. You can enjoy a robust flavor with a gentle finish.

You can put it on takoyaki, okonomiyaki, ohitashi, and more. There are so many ways to use it.

  • Hanakatsuo (Dark Red Meat Removed)

“Savor this truly clear-colored hanakatsuo.” One meal with this color present, and you will understand the concept of the Japanese dinner table. This hanakatsuo is a clear pink color due to having the dark red portions of the meat removed before processing. This removes all harsh flavors and makes for a clean and mild flavor.

  • Hanakatsuo (Standard)

Enjoy the aroma and umami of this hanakatsuo, which is the flavor of Japan. Hanakatsuo combines the three components of aroma, flavor, and umami, and it cannot lack any one of these. Hanakatsuo combines these three components and ends with a distinct, lingering texture which, while lingering slightly, will never come strongly to the forefront. Use this product as-is with udon, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and ohitashi.
